Born in Ankara in 1978, he completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara. He started his medical education in 1994 at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and received the title of doctor in 2001.
He started working in plastic surgery in May 2002 and worked as a research assistant at the Plastic Surgery Clinic at Numune Hospital in Ankara between May 2002 and December 2007.
In 2007 he wrote a comprehensive thesis on the assessment of the risk of fat embolism after liposuction. After completing compulsory service at Bingöl State Hospital between February 2008 and October 2009, he started working at Balıkesir Atatürk State Hospital in November 2009.
Between April 2010 and March 2011 he did his military service at the Istanbul Gulhane Military Medical Academy and actively worked at the Plastic Surgery Clinic.
From 2011 to 2021 he worked as a specialist at Balıkesir Atatürk State Hospital.
In 2021, he resigned from his service at Balıkesir State Hospital and started working at Medifema Private Hospital. From there he transferred to the private Can Hospital in Izmir, where he still works as a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery.
His special interests include; face and whole body aesthetic surgery, aesthetic and functional nose operations,
Breast aesthetics, non-surgical aesthetic interventions, treatment of congenital and acquired disorders of the head and face
Region, hand injuries and skin tumors are counted. Dr. Dursun Atakul is a member of Turkish Plastic,
Dressing for reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, wound care Association and Medical Association Izmir.
He is married and has two children.
